We believe quality comes from Africa. When RPC founder, Paul Kweku Akrofie started in 2011, most of the products made in Ghana were considered as "arts and craft", had poor presentation and were often bought as a show of "patriotic sympathy". We decided to change this trend, and set out to create a brand with products we could be proud of.

In 2013, RPC received global recognition when voted the ‘Most Innovative local Startup’ for their in-house collection of bags and accessories, Paul was voted as part of 30 Ghanaians to impact the world in 2016, highlighted for the entrepreneur of the year and best local manufacturing enterprise awards in 2017. In 2018, he was selected as a member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum led by young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements, and their drive to make a contribution to their communities.

“Locally Inspired, Globally Oriented”

After years of practice, RPC has evolved into a Social Enterprise. Through our commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we train local tailors on how to manufacture our products, and partner with them in production. This has extended to other local workshops with whom we work with in Ghana to teach best practices, provide training and lift the image of the profession. We also provide consultancy services for brands looking to manufacture their products in Ghana. We have partnered with organizations like P.U.M from the Netherlands on projects like “Making Africa Work”, and the British Council on its social enterprise projects, amongst others.
